I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
